Domaine de la Moynerie, a great historical Pouilly-Fumé estate, is managed by Domaine Michel Redde
. Owned by the Redde family for eight generations, the domaine has 40 well-located hectares in the heart of the Pouilly-sur-Loire appellation area. Today, La Moynerie is run by Thierry Redde, assisted by his son. Much of the Domaine Michel Redde & Fils
domaine is located on the magnificent south-facing hills overlooking the Loire, whose clay-limestone soils produce full-bodied wines which are harmonious and elegant with great ageing potential. Another jewel in Domaine Michel Redde’s crown is the 15-hectare vineyard planted on the Saint-Andelain hill, in silty-clay soils which endow the wines with the typical Pouilly-Fumé minerality.
Thierry Redde and his son, Sebastien, continue to build the family’s know-how with a passion and a talent. They bring out the very best of the Sauvignon Blanc grape on these lands bordering Chablis. Everybody seems to agree that this grape variety delivers one of its finest expressions at Domaine Michel Redde.
