Domaine du Pas de l'Escalette

The Domaine du Pas de L'Escalette vineyard covers 10 hectares of limestone terraces surrounded by dry stone walls called "clapas," nestled at an altitude of 350 meters at the foot of the Larzac plateau in the Languedoc region. The valley where the Domaine du Pas de L'Escalette vineyard is located is north-south facing, offering two exposures, sunset and sunrise, and the soil has a unique water regime, filtering and draining well (water from the plateau is abundant). The Larzac plateau brings cool nights and acts as a fantastic air conditioner!

At Domaine du Pas de L'Escalette, Julien Zernott and his partner Delphine work with southern grape varieties as naturally as possible. The vines at Domaine du Pas de L'Escalette have been certified organic since the 2012 vintage and are now biodynamic, without synthetic chemicals, and the soil is worked to enhance the terroir and obtain high-quality grapes, harvested manually and with the utmost care. who is also the talented winemaker at Domaine Henri Pellé, in the Menetou-Salon appellation.
