Alain Jaume - Grand Veneur
Since 1826, the JAUME family has served the great terroirs of the Rhône Valley, including the Crus of Lirac, Vacqueyras and Châteauneuf du Pape. In 1979, Odile and Alain Jaume continued the family tradition with the creation of Domaine Grand Veneur. In the beginning, the vineyard covered 9 hectares, then expanded over time to reach 78 hectares of vines in the finest appellations in the south of the region.

Today, Sébastien, Christophe and Hélène ensure the prosperity of the estate. Combining their family's know-how with their oenological and viticultural expertise, they bring out the best in Domaine Grand Veneur 's terroirs. Recognition has become worldwide: "few estates in the world are as well managed as those of the Alain JAUME family...". J. Dunnuck.

In 2003, the Le Clos de Sixte vineyard was acquired in the neighboring Lirac appellation, one of the region's fifteen crus, produced just a few kilometers across from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Its terroir is certainly one of the finest in the Rhône, with plateaus very similar to those already owned by the estate. Millions of years ago, the river built up the subsoil on the left and right banks, depositing sandy clays and the famous "galets roulés" (rounded pebbles).
