Domaines Paul Jaboulet Aîné
Founded in 1834, Paul Jaboulet Aîné remained a family business until 2006, when it was bought out by the Frey finance company.
The Paul Jaboulet Aîné estates offer a wide range of wines from their négoce and their hundred hectares (in organic conversion) spread across several northern estates, including the legendary La Chapelle en Hermitage. Bought in 2006 by the Frey family, owners in Champagne and Bordeaux (La Lagune), it is managed by Caroline Frey.

"An unmissable vintage".

"The smoke and black pepper notes of the Syrah intertwine with the fleshiness and softer personality of the Grenache in a very compelling way. The whole rests on a solid foundation of supple tannins that have been expertly crafted. Generous red fruits and hints of blackberry and summer flowers give it great appeal." (James Suckling 2025)

"A must-have for everyone!

This Côtes-du-Rhône takes its name from the 45th parallel north, which runs two kilometers south of the cellars of Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné. On tasting, the wine reveals great intensity and a fine balance between richness and freshness, with subtle, delicate notes of white flowers and citrus fruit. It's a must-have, an all-rounder that will go down well with everyone, that's for sure!

"A very expressive white Saint-Joseph that lives up to its name".

"Marsanne appears with a fullness of fruit and a zesty, tangy finish. Aromas of apple and baked apple. More a table wine than an aperitif." (Jancis Robinson 2024). Toasty aromas with hints of hazelnut. This wine offers a fine balance between freshness and richness, with an elegant, long finish.

"Opaque ruby color. A complex, assertively perfumed bouquet of boysenberry, cherry liqueur, licorice and smoky mineral aromas that blossom in the air. The palate is marked by aromas of soft, dense black and blue fruits, spice cake and candied violet, with surprisingly graceful flavors thanks to juicy acidity. Velvety tannins form a broad, smoky finish that combines with superb floral persistence." (Vinous 2018)

"Fine and delicate, this wine was already appreciated at the table of the kings of France".

"Brilliant violet. Vibrant, mineral aromas of black and blue fruit jam, Indian spices and olive, with a hint of licorice. Concentrated flavors of blackberry and candied cherry, candied violet and peppery spice have great clarity, breadth and power. The floral quality enlivens the finish, which hangs on with excellent tenacity and just a hint of fine tannins." (Vinous 2016)

"A perfect marriage between the two personalities of Côte Rôtie.

One of France's oldest vineyards, developed by the Romans in the Middle Ages, it is said that the Seigneur de Maugiron divided his property between his two daughters, one blonde, the other brunette, hence the names given to the Côte Brune and Côte Blonde wines. Delicate, with licorice and cherry aromas, fine, silky tannins and a long, precise structure, this cuvée is the perfect marriage of two strong Côte Rôtie personalities. All in refinement. - Limited quantities available!

"An impressive Cornas

This Cornas, with its deep core of black fruit, notes of cedar wood, chocolate and hints of game, is a rich, complex wine. It's full-bodied and concentrated, making it a perfect match for small game (hare, wild rabbit) and waterfowl (mallard, greylag goose).

"Opaque ruby. The highly perfumed bouquet evokes fresh cherry and dark berries, sandalwood, olive and smoky bacon, as well as a mineral note. Smooth, even and penetrating on the palate, it offers concentrated flavors of boysenberry, cherry-cola and floral pastille, with hints of licorice and vanilla. It plays richness and finesse with a supple hand and finishes impressively long and juicy, with supple tannins on the finish. (Vinous 2022).
