Chapoutier, a winery where winemaking has been a family affair for over two centuries! Seven generations of passionate winemakers have shaped what is today one of the finest wine merchants and one of the most beautiful vineyards in the Rhône. The Chapoutier estate is a jewel whose vineyards stretch across the heart of the finest terroirs of the Côtes-du-Rhône, Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Ardèche, Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and Cornas AOCs...

The passionate and perfectionist Michel Chapoutier leads the estate with rigor and high standards. The cultivation of the vines and his single-vineyard selections is carried out using strictly biodynamic methods, with soil management adapted to the terroir and the complete avoidance of any non-natural inputs. Harvesting at Chapoutier is done exclusively by hand, at optimal ripeness. Traditional winemaking methods are employed, focusing on the natural inoculation of the musts with indigenous yeasts to enhance the expression of each terroir’s unique character and thus produce great Rhône wines!
