Founded in the late 1950s by William Fèvre, a fervent defender of the historic terroirs and appellations of Chablis, Domaine William Fèvre
was purchased in 1998 by Maison Bouchard Père & Fils. The current owners continue to develop the estate with a constant eye to unassailable quality and authenticity, and with an unswerving drive to remain faithful to the terroir. All of these efforts lead toward a single goal : to express as fully as possible the subtle variations among Chablis's best climats (vineyard sites).
This is an exceptional property of 48 hectares (119 acres) on a soil of marl and clayey Kimmeridgian limestone, of which more than half are premier cru (12 ha / 30 acres) or grand cru (15.2 ha / 37 acres). Domaine William Fèvre owns the widest range of grand crus to be found in Chablis and enjoys optimal conditions for growing excellent wines. The meticulous vineyard work and savoir-faire in the winery transcend Chardonnay, which yields fresh wines of great purity and minerality.
