« Selected from parcels across the estate, this wine aims to reflect the totality of the appellation. It succeeds with its combination of minerality and ripe fruit. Oak, almond and citrus fruits are still right up front, showing that this is a young wine that will age well. » (Wine Enthusiast 2016 - Top 100 Wine List) An elegant and refined wine !

Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France

Wine rated (guide 2017) : 16/20 (Très bon vin)
Vineyard rated (guide 2019) : 2**Stars (A reliable production but a little more constant and homogeneous than the previous one)

About this wine : Il a du peps et de la tension, une certaine majesté dans sa droiture. De bonne facture.

About the vineyard : This vast historic property of Fuissé has been operated by the Vincent family for 5 generations, forty hectares spread over 5 appellations in Mâconnais and Beaujolais. Spearhead of the Pouilly Fuissé appellation with 25 hectares, its style is resolutely focused on the aging, while remaining faithful to its methods : very elaborated maturing.

Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France - RVF

Wine rated (guide 2017) : 14,5/20 (Bon vin)

About the vineyard : This historic estate has been in the hands of the Vincent family since 1852. The Castle has a vast vineyard of more than 30 hectares on the major appellation of the Maconnais, as well as a vineyard on Juliénas. The characteristic of this estate is to have lots of old vines. In fact, the old vines cuvée, which is part of the history of the estate, has been identified as such since 1969. There's even a parcel of chardonnay planted in 1929 on the area of Les Clos. It is Antoine Vincent who has been handling the winemaking since 2003.

Burghound

Burghound

Wine rated (guide 2016) : 88-91/100

About this wine : A discreet but not invisible touch of wood serves as a backdrop for the cool citrus, floral and various white orchard fruit aromas. There is an attractive texture to plump middle weight flavors that possess plenty of dry extract that coats the palate and serves to buffer the moderately firm acidity on the nicely complex and persistent finale.
