Coming from younger vines of the estate, this cuvee shows again the great work made by its creator, Yannick Amirault. The fruit is here, joined by a beautiful texture and a pleasant roundness. The maturity of the grapes makes a lot for it, as well as the precision and care during the winemaking process. Delicious and smooth, this wine has a great richness !

About the vineyard : Sur les 19 hectares de cabernet franc, les deux tiers du domaine sont sur Bourgueil, le reste étant implanté sur Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil. Les raisins sont toujours récoltés à parfaite maturité car Yannick et Benoît Amirault sont des perfectionnistes qui donnent le bon tempo sur leurs deux appellations, ayant la chance de posséder un bon patrimoine de vieilles vignes. Les millésimes plus anciens tiennent parfaitement la partition des grands cabernets francs. Plusieurs dégustations de cuvées des années 1980 à 2000 nous ont confortés dans la très belle évolution des vins.

About the vineyard : Désormais épaulés par leur fils Benoît, Nicole et Yannick Amirault pérennisent l’association du fruité gourmand des cabernets francs très mûrs et de la civilité charmeuse des vinifications sous bois (en cuve tronconique). Ces vins recèlent une maturité rare de tanins, qui déroute les aficionados de la verdeur "poivronnante" du cabernet. Les derniers millésimes marquent, pour notre plus grande joie, le retour du fruité et des tanins mûrs et délicats qui ont fait la notoriété du domaine. Tous les vins méritent cependant de vieillir pour se départir d’élevages parfois un peu marquants dans leur jeunesse.
