« What looks to be a beautiful Côtes du Rhône (which should be no surprise coming from this estate), the 2014 Côtes du Rhône Les Champauvins checks in as a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre, from rolled pebble soils, that was aged 70% in stainless steel (Grenache) and 30% in barrel (Syrah and Mourvedre.) Giving up lots of roasted Provençal herbs, garrigue, pepper and currant-like fruit, it is medium to full-bodied, ripe and nicely textured, with impressive purity of fruit. It has outstanding potential and will have a decade of overall longevity. » (Wine Advocate 2016 - Robert Parker)

Wine Advocate - Robert Parker

Wine rated (guide 2016) : 88-91/100 (Vin formidable)
Vineyard rated : Recommended (Winery recommended by the Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

Vineyard rated (guide 2020) : 1*Star (A reliable production, recommendable, in line with expectations from the appellation(s))

Vineyard rated (guide 2020) : Wines regularly rewarded (The wines of this producer are regularly rewarded by the guide)

Straddling the Rhône river, stretching from Vienne to Valence and on down to Avignon, the Côtes-du-Rhône appellation draws its personality from its extremely diverse soils, climates, and grape varieties. Originally established in 1937, the appellation was expanded in 2004 and now extends into 171 villages. There are five basic soil types here that can be divided into two groups. ...
